With a Focus on Growth, Magnes Will Oversee all of Avail’s Commercial Activities
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – October 27, 2021 – Avail Medsystems, a pioneering healthcare technology company whose innovative audio/video telepresence platform facilitates real-time collaboration through interactive broadcasts of live procedures from the operating room, announced today the appointment of Ryan Magnes as President. Reporting to Founder and CEO Daniel Hawkins, Ryan will lead all commercial and customer-facing activities for the company. Together with Sales, Marketing and Field Service leadership, and teams, he will focus on the continued expansion of the Avail platform within a broad base of care settings, in order to serve providers and medical device companies who increasingly rely on the power of Avail’s remote OR access platform for medical collaboration and support.

A leader with 25 years of commercial and healthcare industry experience, Mr. Magnes most recently ran Global Go-to-Market Strategy for Varian Multi-Disciplinary Oncology, a Siemens Healthineers company, offering Oncology-as-a-Service programs that bundle human and technical resources to support radiation oncology providers. Before that, he was Executive Vice President of Growth and Innovation at Medfusion, a patient-focused electronic health records and patient portal company, and Regional Vice President of Enterprise Sales for Waystar/Zirmed, a cloud-based revenue cycle management, SaaS platform for healthcare. He spent ten formative years at GE Healthcare in leadership and direct contributor roles.
